An Angel Walks the Earth

There is a man I want you to know. His name is Marshall Vian Summers and he is an angel. Perhaps you do not believe in angels. Neither do I. But I know one nonetheless.

This angel brings a message that doesn’t require your belief. Beliefs live at the level of mind where we hope and doubt, want and fear. This is a message that can only be known. The angel who brought it can only be recognized by the deeper part of you that knows, a place where belief cannot go.

This angel is a man. He is born to parents and has a family. He has sorrows and joys, aches and pains. He eats breakfast. And when he opens his mouth to speak it is occasionally the voice of Heaven that speaks through him. Heaven has a lot to say. There are many things in the world that we need to address that we haven’t. You can feel this when you look at the world. You can feel this when you look at your life.

God has sent an angel to remind us of what needs to be tended to here on Earth. The reminder is a message and a set of practices to reconnect us with the truest part of ourselves. This message and practices are contained in the New Message from God. It is here for all of us. It is here for Christians and Jews, Buddhists, Muslims and atheists. It is a teaching for the whole world to remind us of who we are and what must be done here on Earth.

There is much work to do. God knows this. There is much confusion about what must be done and how to do it. God knows this. That is why God sent an angel. God speaks to the world through angels. And God knows we need the help! The help has come. The message of the angel is available for you. http://www.newmessage.org

If God Spoke in the Past, Why Not Now?

This question has perplexed me for decades, and no doubt countless others who take seriously the existence of God and the reality that God has spoken to humanity to deliver vital teachings in the past. If God sent Moses and Jesus to deliver pertinent messages to a struggling humanity thousands of years ago why wouldn’t God speak now? Surely if God was willing to speak to the plight of the enslaved Israelites and the social chaos during the time of Jesus, then God would have a message for our current situation of climate change, resource depletion, global economic instability, and the ever increasing threat of war.

For years I sat with a growing awareness of the predicament of the planet and this question of why wouldn’t God speak to us now. I went through phases of being angry with God and being angry with people until I read a book that gave me a new perspective. That book was the Great Waves of Change by Marshall Vian Summers.  It spoke directly to my concerns about the world and my questions about God.

This book claims to be part of a new message from God. At first I was shocked, then disbelief and skepticism kicked in, until finally I was able to approach it with an open mind and an honest heart. I was able to drop into a space where I could feel the message of this book with the part of my mind that never left God. From that place of deep inner knowing I was able to recognize that this indeed is a message from the creator of all life, and it has come just in time.

In taking seriously the message of this teaching I realized that my prayers had been answered- God has spoken again with a message specifically addressing the needs of our times. I was expecting to be relieved that my prayers had been answered, and yet I found that my initial question had been replaced with more questions: now what? what will people think?

Over time the answer to “now what?” has come. It’s as simple as breathe in, breathe out. I take in this New Message from God – I take it in to the very depth of my being, I study it, I spend time in stillness, I let it touch me; and then I take it out – I allow the message of this teaching from God to move through me in the world, I share what I have received so that others may find it for themselves. No need for pressure, no need to succumb to fear. Those who are meant to find this message from God can find it through me, but only if I am willing to share it.

Regarding the question “what will people think?” I still don’t know. What do you think? Could God speak to the world now? If God spoke again, would you listen?

In the Beginning. . . What Exactly did God Create?

I’ve been reading Marshall Vian Summer’s most recently published book, Life in the Universe. There is a chapter with the title “God the Greater Community”. This just so happens to be the phrase I have had a persistent thought to use as the name of the blog I’ve been meaning to write for years. I took it as a sign to get in action.

The message of this remarkable book calls me deeply into my relationship with God, with a God far bigger than I had ever conceived possible. Summers’ work speaks of the God of the Greater Community- God as the creator of the larger universe in which we live that is, in fact, filled with intelligent life beyond our planet.

As a child I was always struck by the way the Bible began. It mentioned that God created the stars but then only focuses on the world, our world. When I learned in science class that all those stars are like our sun and have planets and moons around them it made sense to me that God would put life in the rest of the universe, too. Since God created millions of life forms on Earth why not elsewhere? God was so prolific and creative here why not out there?

It wasn’t until I encountered the teaching of Marshall Vian Summers as an adult that this inkling I had as a child was finally confirmed- there is life in the universe, there is  intelligent life in the universe, and some of those races of intelligent beings are here visiting our world! I was reminded that, despite my personal preferences and ideals, all those who are intelligent do not always have good intentions. This book and other of Summers’ books, especially Allies of Humanity, speak to the unfortunate nature of our galactic visitors’ true intentions.

It’s a story we’ve heard so many times in the history of humanity: foreign visitor’s land on the naive natives’ shore; the natives want to believe the foreigners are here to brings gifts of salvation and peace; the foreigner’s gladly play into these fantasies and easily overcome the natives who sit on wealth the foreigners want for themselves. There is usually a tragic ending to such stories. The natives are left devastated, robbed of their natural inheritance, denied their freedom, enslaved or relegated to the underclasses as a new authority takes hold of their lands.

Apparently this is not only the story of natives here on Earth – it is the tragic reality of countless races of intelligent life throughout the universe. And more concerning to me at this moment, it has the potential to be the story of the whole human family if we don’t wise up and start speaking about the reality of extra terrestrial life that is interfering in our world.

Learning about this was shocking to the part of my mind that prefers to think life is about me and what I want. Yet the truth of the reality of life in the universe had a strong resonance with a deeper part of myself that is intrinsically connected with life and is here in the world for a purpose. As I continued reading I was able to tap into a deep calm within me, a place of inner knowing, which has always confirmed what is true and what to do. That place of inner knowing was very clear that this is true and what is there to do is speak. And so I speak, or more accurately, I write.
